SMOKY MOUNTAIN COASTERFEST | 2010

After the tour, some of the GAPpers headed back the GAPbin, while others split off
and did their own thing for awhile. Joie, Ford and myself went to ride the cars.

Rockin' Roadway is a lot of fun and here is Ford modeling his sweet ride.

For some reason I ALWAYS end up with a pink car on this ride.

Joie got the Barbie "Dream Car" this time.

Afterwards we walked towards the Polar Express, but decided to skip it
since the line was ridiculously long.

We instead decided to head to Thunderhead.

Thunderhead is still a top caliber wooden coaster after all these years.

People asked me if Prowler was better than Thunderhead, and honestly they are
so different with regards to the type of layout that they are - you cannot
really compare the two.

Next up was Mystery Mine.

I learned on this trip that if you ride in the front you will not get near
as much head banging in the helix portion of the ride as you will in the back.
