CRYSTAL FALLS WATERPARK | Trip Report 07.26.10

Welcome to Arkansas and the premiere amusement attraction in the state.
MAGIC SPRINGS and CRYSTAL FALLS

We'll start off by checking out the waterpark - CRYSTAL FALLS

The first attraction you come to is Boogie Blast. A surf simulator.
I've been on one of these before at Kalahari, so it was easy to see
why this is such a popular ride.

Time to venture into the Crystal Lagoon portion of the waterpark.

First up is Rapid Falls Raceway. It was a lot of fun and one of the
better racing slides I've been on. Amazing how they are all different.

The pool in the foreground is Crystal Lagoon. It is mainly a wading pool.

Seven Falls is the main slide tower in the park. It includes 3 speed
slides, 2 tube slides, and 2 bowl slides. I tried them all out and each
one was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the green bowl as it has a steeper
decent into the bowl so you really pick up a lot of speed before the bowl.

The other section of the waterpark is the older section - Crystal Falls.
The slides you walk under to get to this section is called High Sierra Tower.

There are 4 different slides here. The two other ones are the best.

The one farthest away here at the catch pool (and 2nd from the right at
the top of the tower) is by far the best - completely dark and insane.

This is Grizzly Creek Splash Zone and it features floating log course
and lots of other surprises. It is mainly aimed at younger kids.

The Crystal Falls Wave Pool was extremely popular later on in the day
when the heat and humidity got really high before the storm rolled in.

Kodiak Canyon Adventure River is the park's lazy river.

It was a lot of fun, but if you are looking to sunbathe while riding
on it, it's a little hard with all the shade trees that line the river.

The last thing in the park is the Bear Cub Bend which is on the island
that the lazy river goes around. It seemed popular with the little ones.
All right time to get changed, go into town for some lunch, then come back
and ride some rides in the ride park section of Magic Springs.
