SILVER DOLLAR CITY 50TH ANNIVERSARY | Trip Report 05.01.10

Welcome to the Celebration!

In honor of the celebration, the 399th Army Band from Ft. Leonard Wood
performed a concert of military marches at the gazebo stage.

The band is made up entirely of active personel from the Army base.

Really liked the bass drum heads with their logo on the side.

Great sounding band and it was an excellent way to kick off the day.

This only part of the crowd gathered on the square.

They finished their concert with everyone's favorite march,
Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever.

Crowds gathering on the north side of the Gazebo Stage for the
Opening Ceremony.

Jack Herschend was on site greeting guests and former employees.

Shorty entertaing the crowd before the opening ceremony.
