SILVER DOLLAR CITY 50TH ANNIVERSARY | Trip Report 05.01.10
Parade of Veterans to the flag pole.
Raising of the flag to start the day.
A recording of Rhonda Vincent singing the national anthem is played.
Then the city officially opens for business... look at the crowd.
Knowing how long the lines would be later on in the day, I went ahead
and scored two quick rides on PowderKeg (under 10 minutes wait for each ride)
Such a great ride.
I wish they would go back to the old style of the launch, without the warning.
From there I went to Wildfire which also had a short line (for now).
The lines soared for both rides to almost 2-3 hour waits later on in the day.
Luckily I got two quick rides on this as well.
