We're starting off a new season of photo trip reports in St. Louis this year!
Welcome to the St. Louis Science Center.
We entered over at the Planetarium section of the complex.
In this building, besides the Planetarium, they have space capsules on display.
Heading towards the main complex you have to navigate some long hallways.
They have some very cool space displays on exhibit - including this model
of Space Station 1.
Before heading over the bridge that spans I-64, you pass this model of Mars.
On the actual bridge, there are radar guns to check the speed of cars
and binoculars to view things, like license plates - I guess?
The next section of the complex is called Structures and looks at
buildings and bridges. Here Derrijk is using a digging simulator.
One of the other hands on exhibits was building a trussel bridge.
It was harder than it looked. They also had a suspended bridge to build.
Probably the most famous exhibit at the Science Center is the "Build the Arch"
It is a real team "building" experience. Here we are with our finished arch.
