ST. LOUIS SCIENCE CENTER | Trip Report 01.22.11

Also in the Dinosaur exhibit area is a lab where they are working on bones.
This is a triceratops rear leg (femur).

This shows how they transport the bones from the dig site to the labs.

Both Derrijk and Hilary enjoyed looking at the bones comparing them to the ones
they see in lab at the chiropractic college they attend.

My favorite in the lab was the tail bone section of the triceratops.

The next exhibit showcased forces of nature.
This is a "flow table" which shows water erosion.

Derrijk, Hilary and Jenn on the earthquake simulator.

My favorite exhibit is the tornado simulator.

I think it is so cool that they are able to replicate a tornado.

Last exhibit we checked out before leaving was this Child Mummy.
Amazing how mummification can preserve the body as well as it does.

Well we're headed out. First to the mall to get some lunch and then to Cirque!
