WORLDS OF FUN | Trip Report 05.14.11

Decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Worlds of Fun to check out the progress being made on the different projects. The new Festhaus catering pavilion is open for business.

The new pavilion is much larger than the "tent" version it replaced.

It also does a nice job of "classy-ing up" an area that was pretty much an eyesore.

Significant progress on the Grand Carrousel took place this week.

The marquee for the ride has been installed.

Also all of the columns are now in place.

The most noticeable progress made is the actual installation of the ride.

The two stationary chariots have already been installed on the ride's floor.

All of the horses have been moved up to the ride
and should be installed this week.

At night they turned the lights on the carrousel. I cannot wait for this to open.
