NELSON-ATKINS MUSEUM OF ART | TRIP REPORT 06.06.12
Welcome to Kansas City's Nelson-Atkins
Museum of Art. Home to the Shuttlecocks.
Before we head inside, let's take a look at the
outdoor sculpture garden - here's the Thinker.
A very cool metal tree.
The black one reminds me of a gorrilla
there is another rock one up on the hill.
It's getting warm, so let's head inside.
Starting off in the Bloch Building, here is the
current traveling exhibit. The Art of the Worlds Fair.
The exhibit features art from the fairs.
This cup is amazingly detailed.
There was also cabinents and sterling silver
among other things. Sorry no pictures allowed
past this point so just imagine it.
Moving on to the next exhibit. A very cool wall.
This neat throne is located in the African art area.
