SCHLITTERBAHN KANSAS CITY | TRIP REPORT 07.12.12
Welcome back to the hottest coolest time in kansas (city).
Started off the day on Boogie Bahn. I'm getting better
but man is this particular surf rider hard to master.
After that I decided it was time to go float.
Love all the new signage in this area.
Especially like the arch at the top of the aquaveyor.
In an attempt to hide the building, they've put up a
billboard behind Kaw Beach at the top of the park.
The great thing about this park is that they are always adding
new things to make it better. Like this bridge which provides
access from the Storm Tower pathway over to Kaw Beach.
The water level was a lot higher today than last time and
you could tell that it made all the differance on King Kaw.
After floating around Kristal River and back here I decided
to go ride the slides at Storm Tower.
They finally solved the problem with the mats.
Using the log flume carts as holding containers.
Still not a fan of mat slides. I always hit the run
out water way too violently and it throws me off my
mat. Not sure how to combat that as you pick up a
lot of speed as you go down the final hills on both.
